Celebrating SA’s Educational Heroes

Over 300 guests gather to celebrate 66 outstanding SA Educators at the Adelaide Oval

What a night of celebration of it was! More than 300 guests celebrated the achievements of sixty six awardees, whilst enjoying a gala dinner and the company of their colleagues at the World Teachers’ Day Awards Night 2024!

“Tonight we honour outstanding educators from all sectors and all aspects of education, who are changing the learning lives of children, young people and adults on a daily basis” said Lisa-Jane O’Connor, president of Educators SA. “Our ‘hats are off’ to all Educators in South Australia for what they do, every day to create a positive future for our State!”

A very special thank you to Blair Boyer, Minister for Education, Training and Skills and Martin Westwell, Chief Executive Department for Education for joining us onstage to present to our very worthy award recipients.

The celebrations continued late into the evening and it was terrific to see so many of our attendees hitting the dance floor to celebrate their success.

Presentations on the night included:

  • 44 Association Awards made to outstanding members of their communities
  • 4 Outstanding Graduate University Awards, presented by University of South Australia, Flinders University, University of Adelaide and Tabor College
  • 5 Ministers Language Immersion Scholarships
  • 6 Minister’s Arts Awards
