About Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect Training
To work or volunteer with children and young people in education settings you must do training about your child protection responsibilities. This training is called Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care (RRHAN-EC), and it outlines your child protection role as a team member in education.
The RRHAN-EC training consists of two parts:
A 2-hour Fundamentals Course (online, self-paced without a trainer)
A 4-hour Masterclass Workshop (in-person or via Zoom with a trainer)

My RRHAN Certificate expired on the 31st of December 2021. Do I need to do the full course again?
Yes. You will need to re-complete the 2-hour fundamentals course along with the 4-hour Masterclass to gain re-certification for your RRHAN.
Once you have completed the full course, your certificate will be valid for 3 years.

How do I make a booking/register for RRHAN-EC training?
To register for a RRHAN-EC course:

- Once logged in, you will arrive at your ‘home’ page.
- Scroll down and select the RRHAN-EC course that applies to you. Hint: Make sure you read the titles and descriptions carefully!
- Select ‘register.’
- Follow the prompts.
Please note: You must register for, and complete, the 2-hour Fundamentals Course before you can register for the 4-hour Masterclass Workshop.
Can you reserve a space in a 4-hour Masterclass Workshop for me?
No, Educators SA can not reserve/hold a space in a Masterclass Workshop for you.
To book a space in a Masterclass Workshop, you will first need to register for and complete the 2-hour Fundamentals Course.
Do I have to make a Plink account to do the training?
Yes, it is essential for you to have a Plink account to register for and complete the RRHAN-EC training. The process is simple and only takes 5 minutes.
Can you make a Plink account for me?
No, Educators SA cannot make a Plink account for you. If you need help making a Plink account, visit this Plink support webpage.
I am having a technical problem with Plink. Who can help me?

How much does the 2-hour Fundamentals Course cost?
The 2-hour Fundamentals Course is free.
How much does the 4-hour Masterclass Workshop cost?
The 4-hour Masterclass Workshop costs $69.00 including GST.
Can I reschedule my booking? Can I cancel my booking?
Yes, you can reschedule your booking any time by contacting our office. Please note, some fees may apply.
I need to leave the 4-hour Masterclass Workshop early to go to work/go to an appointment. Can I do this?
No, you cannot leave the workshop early for these reasons. This workshop is about protecting children and young people and your legal mandatory notification responsibilities. To satisfy the requirements of the course and receive a certificate you must actively participate for the full duration of the training. This applies to both in-person training and training delivered via Zoom.
I am running late for my course. What should I do? When will I receive my certificate?
If you are running late, please contact our office so we can advise your trainer. If you are running more than 15 minutes late, you will not be allowed to join the training and we will assist you to reschedule your booking.
You will receive your certificate in 1-2 business days via an email/your Plink account, provided you have made payment and satisfied the course requirements.
How long is my certificate valid for? I lost my RRHAN-EC certificate. Where can I get a copy?
RRHAN-EC certificates are valid within three-year blocks. This means if you complete your training in 2021, 2022 or 2023, your certificate will be valid until the 31st of December 2024.
You can download a copy of your RRHAN-EC certificate by logging into your Plink account and following the prompts.
