2026 Education Policy Forum

Last week, Educators SA was proud to host the 2026 Education Policy Forum, bringing together our vibrant professional community to engage directly with the political leaders who are shaping the future of South Australian schools and preschools.

It was an invaluable evening of dialogue, featuring The Hon Blair Boyer, Minister for Education, Training and Skills and Mr Jack Batty, Shadow Minister for Education, facilitated by Lisa-Jane O’Connor, Chief Executive of Educators SA.

Hearing from both the Government and the Opposition gave the educator community a clear look at the major parties’ visions for education as we look toward the 2026 Election. From teacher workload and professional autonomy to student wellbeing and funding, the questions asked by our educators reflected the deep commitment and expertise of our workforce.

As the peak body for professional educator associations in SA, we believe that when educators are at the table, policy is stronger. Thank you to everyone who joined us in person at Morphettville and to those who tuned in via our livestream.

The highlights are now live! Whether you were there on the night or want to catch up on what you missed, you can view the full photo gallery and event summary here: https://educators-sa.sa.edu.au/education-policy-forum-2026/

Acknowledgement of Country

We acknowledge the traditional owners throughout South Australia and we pay respect to the custodians of the lands on which we live and learn. We respect their spiritual relationship with Country and acknowledge that their cultural and heritage beliefs are still as important to those living today and we do so in the spirit of reconciliation.
