The Preschool Directors Association (PDA) warmly invites all early years educators to join us for this engaging professional learning opportunity, “The Floorbook Approach: Planning with and for Children”

This workshop is suitable for leaders, teachers and educators in preschool, long day Care, OSHC, and into the early years of school.

Dr Claire Warden established The Floorbook Approach over 30 years ago as a way to truly listen to children’s ideas about the world around them. The Floorbook is a child centred, interactive form of documentation and responsive planning that supports all types of learning and play inside, outside and beyond.

Floorbooks are recognised in the EYLFv2 as a meaningful way of facilitating children’s awareness, contributions and appreciation of their own learning (assessment as learning).

This workshop explores the benefits of implementing The Floorbooks Approach to plan with and for children. Using The Floorbook Approach to document the planning cycle empowers educator teams to develop curriculum that is relevant to children and families in their local context.

Briony Brooks has been guided and mentored by Dr Claire Warden over the last 15 years and offers training to implement the Floorbooks Approach, in your site context.
