HASS SA 2026 Conference – Connections, Strategies, Resources

Join HASS educators from across South Australia for a dynamic and inspiring full-day conference designed to spark new ideas, build confidence, and strengthen classroom practice. This year’s program brings together expert presenters, hands-on workshops, fresh resources, and real-world examples across History, Geography, Economics and Business, Civics and Citizenship, Sustainability, and Aboriginal Studies.

Kick off the day with an engaging keynote from Jack Buckskin and celebrate excellence with the Pre-Service Teacher Awards for HASS Education. Across three workshop sessions, you will explore practical strategies, classroom-ready tools, innovative pedagogies, and activities you can take straight back to your students. Whether you teach R–2, primary, middle years, or senior secondary, there is something for every educator.

With student showcases, the Barn Market, and a raffle to finish the day, this conference offers the perfect opportunity to connect, learn, and refresh your practice for 2026 and beyond.

Ideal for all R–12 HASS teachers, pre-service educators, and leaders looking to energise their HASS programs.

Acknowledgement of Country

We acknowledge the traditional owners throughout South Australia and we pay respect to the custodians of the lands on which we live and learn. We respect their spiritual relationship with Country and acknowledge that their cultural and heritage beliefs are still as important to those living today and we do so in the spirit of reconciliation.
