HAA: The story of women in HaSS learning

Date:
Time
4.30 - 6pm
Location
St Mary's College Adelaide 253 Franklin St, Adelaide SA and online

How are the stories of women in South Australia being told in our classrooms—and how might we tell them better?

This workshop invites educators to explore the place, power, and potential of women’s stories within the HaSS curriculum. Together, we’ll reflect on whose stories are visible, whose are missing, and how the stories of women can be meaningfully embedded to enrich learning, strengthen student understanding, and deepen connections to local histories and perspectives.

Designed for HaSS educators, this session will provide space for discussion, reflection, and practical ideas to support engaging and inclusive teaching practice.

Acknowledgement of Country

We acknowledge the traditional owners throughout South Australia and we pay respect to the custodians of the lands on which we live and learn. We respect their spiritual relationship with Country and acknowledge that their cultural and heritage beliefs are still as important to those living today and we do so in the spirit of reconciliation.
