Association: South Australian Science Teachers Association (SASTA)

Dr. Yvonne Zeegers is a Board member of Educators SA wherein she chairs the Pre-Service Action Team (PAT). She is a member of the SA Science Teachers’ Association (SASTA), is a SASTA Medallist, and is on the Membership and Services Reference Group.

Yvonne is currently Chair of the Australian Foundation for Fostering Learning in the Philippines (AFFLIP) and is Coordinator of the Schools Learning network (SLN) portfolio.

During her career, Yvonne has been a classroom teacher, a Program Director and teacher educator at the University of South Australia, wherein her main research interest was in science education, and pedagogical practices that includes inquiry-based learning. She was Aus-Aid’s Pre-service Adviser in Regions 11, 12 and the Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao in the Southern Philippines and has been a Curriculum and Project Officer for the South Australian Education Department.

Yvonne loves her outside above ground pond, but the fish still flee when they see her approaching!
