Educators SA is committed to the safety of our Responding to Abuse and Neglect (RAN-EC) trainers and participants. In line with current government recommendations, all RAN-EC training sessions will now be delivered online via Zoom.
About RAN-EC Training
Would you like to work with children or young people in a school or children’s services setting? You must complete Responding to Abuse & Neglect – Education & Care (RAN-EC) training. This is because your role has child protection responsibilities that, by law, you need to be aware of.
Educators SA is an approved provider of RAN-EC training. Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Educators SA is now offering all face-to-face RAN-EC training online via Zoom. To book, simply find your location below and click ‘book now.’

Q. What is Zoom?
A. Zoom is web-based video conferencing tool.
Q. Is Zoom free to use?
A. Yes, it is.
Q. Do I need to download Zoom?
A. Yes, please. You can download the Zoom Client for Meetings here.
Q. Can I download Zoom on my tablet or mobile phone?
A. Yes, you can download the Zoom app on these devices. However, we highly recommend you use your personal computer or laptop for this training to ensure you have the best experience.
Q. My device does not have a webcam. Can I still attend the training?
A. Having a webcam is preferable, however, you can still attend the training without one. We ask that you participate by speaking or typing in the chat box.
Q. Do I need to ‘sign up’/make an account for Zoom to join the training?
A. No, you do not. You will be able to join the training simply by having the software and the training meeting link. The meeting link will be emailed to you.
Q. How long will the online training go for?
A. The online training requires the same amount of time as the face-to-face training. It will begin at 9am and finish at 4pm.
Q. When will I receive my certificate?
A. Your certificate will be posted to you. It will arrive 10-15 business days after your training.
