Lunch on the Lawns is back!
Her Excellency and Mr Bunten invite the public to come to the Government House gardens, bring a picnic lunch, spread out a rug or unfold a camping chair and enjoy the surroundings, while listening to a community band or orchestra.
The free events will be held on the first Friday of the month from 12 noon to 2 pm starting on Friday 1 September.
Just come through the main gates and choose your picnic spot.
Other dates are October 6, November 3, December 1, January 5, February 2, March 1, and May 3.
On the same dates, free garden tours of the Government House grounds, hosted by the Friends of the Botanic Gardens will run from 10.45am to 11.45am. Registrations required for these guided tours by phoning 8203 9800.
Lunch on the Lawns is part of Her Excellency’s and Mr Bunten’s aim to make Government House a place where more South Australians feel welcome and are able to visit.
