The Australian Kodály Certificate (AKC) is the only Australian fully accredited and nationally recognised program of teacher training in the Kodály approach to music education.

This course is online & in person. Online sessions start in August, face to face sessions are happening in October: Course begins online, with 9 hours of study during Term 3 in weeks 4/6/8 and 52 hours of face to face study during term break: Wed 2nd Oct-Sat 5th Oct & Tue 8th- Fri 11th October.
Any refunds incur admin & booking fees no later than 28/9/24.

All components are compulsory if seeking assessment and accreditation but a non-assessment option (audit/ participation) option is available if preferred.

Course participants undertake 60 hours of study:
Musicianship (15hrs), Pedagogy (15hrs), Practicum (5hrs), Cultural Materials (5hrs), Choir (10hrs) and Conducting(10hrs)*

*Early Years 2 participants complete research project in lieu of conducting.
