Life’s a Problem. Can you solve it?
Problem-Solving – This workshop is a hands-on interactive workshop that looks at why it is
important to teach problem solving skills to improve mathematics capabilities, understanding
and engagement. It will look at different strategies as well as how to guide students to
determine the most suitable strategies to employ.

the real world. It will include spatial awareness, different forms of geometry (Euclidian,
Transformational, Hyperbolic). It will include a look at the history of geometry and
measurement. This will help to discover an awareness of how to estimate measurements
leading to an understanding of the need for exactness and precision with measurement.
